Harv Thiessen is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in Education and drama, and has spent the majority of his life working in theatre in one position or another. Beginning as an actor in small theatre companies in Edmonton and area, he divided his time between acting, directing, composing and performing for various musical projects, as well as teaching. Harv’s writing skills began development in University, but expanded during his time as a teacher when all manner of scripts were required, but not necessarily available. Harv has written musicals, sketches for special events, one act-plays, a full-length play, and dozens of short stories. Demand for his writing continued as worked in St. Albert at a large church as director of drama, and he has had his short sacred monologues performed in churches across Canada. He has also written and directed for The Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree. Harv has been delighted to write dramatic pieces for the Grande Prairie Boys Choir since 2011.
